Landscaping Services in Wabamun That Help You Enjoy More of Your Property
In Wabamun, outdoor spaces are often where families spend the most time during the warmer months. From lakeside gatherings and backyard fires to relaxing weekends at the cabin, a well planned landscape can make your property more functional, comfortable, and easier to maintain.
JPL Earthworks provides landscaping services in Wabamun for homeowners looking to improve lakefront homes, acreages, and recreational properties. Whether you want a new patio overlooking the lake, fresh sod around a newly built home, or retaining walls to improve sloped terrain, our team creates outdoor spaces designed around the way you use your property.
Landscaping near the lake requires careful planning for drainage, changing ground conditions, and seasonal weather exposure. Our team builds landscapes that are not only visually appealing but also prepared for long term Alberta conditions.

Landscaping in Wabamun: What to Know
Wabamun Lake is one of the largest lakes near Edmonton, and it behaves like one. Wind and wave action along the shore, ice push in spring and a mix of sandy beach and bluff shoreline mean lakefront landscaping in the Village of Wabamun, Kapasiwin, Lakeview, Point Alison and the surrounding subdivisions has to be built for exposure. Walls and terraces on properly compacted base, deep-rooted plantings on banks, and stairs and paths that shed water are the foundation of a lake yard that lasts.
Away from the shore, the village and the acreages around it have more conventional lots on clay and loam soils, where the work is familiar: grading and drainage, paver patios, fire pits, privacy plantings and lawn or turf. Wabamun Lake Provincial Park and the trail system give the area its character, and most owners want yards that feel natural and need little upkeep between visits.
As with every Alberta lake, anything on the bed or shore is regulated and needs provincial approval; we design so that the built elements sit above that line and the shoreline itself is stabilized with plantings and stone rather than hard structures. Seasonal access and narrow lanes in the summer villages are part of the planning.
Wabamun is about forty minutes west of our Spruce Grove shop along the Yellowhead, and it is a regular destination for our crews. Design, earthwork, hardscape and planting are all handled by one team.
